U.S. Broadband Growth Slows
High Speed Internet Adoption Slows Down
A recent survey from Pew Research shows that Broadband (High Speed) Internet growth in the U.S. declined in 2010. This follows several years of rapid growth in the adoption of broadband access by U.S consumers. The report states that 66% of American households currently have a broadband Internet Connection at home.

The report also states that a majority of Americans don’t believe that the spread of broadband Internet access should be a Federal Government priority.
On February 17, 2009 President Obama signed The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Act is intended to accelerate affordable broadband Internet deployment in the United States. The Recovery Act authorizes the FCC to create a National Broadband Plan.
