AT&T has scored a first one by signing a deal for digital music and streaming radio service for U-Verse TV customers.
The partnership entered with iHeartMedia will pave way for the official launch of iHeartRadio and the addition will make it the first live streaming radio application available on U-Verse TV. Customers will have to tune to channel 532/1532 and enjoy all the limitless benefits.
One of the things they will be able to do is search radio stations as per the keyword, location and genre which will make it easier than ever. Also, customers will have the flexibility of choosing from thousands of live radio stations from any part of the country as well as receive personalized recommendations.
If you are an AT&T subscriber, you will also get to access “My Stations” with ease and this will include all the stations you have listened to recently and those saved as your favorites. It’s a whole new experience that any customer will be looking forward to.
AT&T and iHeartMedia are now planning to make new features additions to the app before 2015 lapses. They will include custom stations created from a library of more than 20 million songs and 800,000 artists, song lyrics, artist biographies, stations “Perfect For” any mood or activity and thousands of podcasts.
GW Shaw who is the vice president of U-Verse and Video Products at AT&T said the deal is in the best interest of both the company and its customers. “Personalization is one of the key features of AT&T U-verse TV, so a highly-customizable app like iHeartRadio is a natural fit. We’re excited to bring iHeartRadio and its extensive offerings to our U-verse customers.”
Michele Laven, President of Business Development and Partnerships at iHeartMedia echoed the sentiments. “Our integration with AT&T U-verse is one in a long line of successful AT&T/iHeartRadio collaborations.”
