Comcast Business has unveiled WiFi Pro which is a comprehensive WiFi solution that includes cloud-based controls, marketing tools and other advanced capabilities.
WiFi Pro is designed and built for a wide range of businesses such as SMBs and enterprise branch locations. This innovative WiFi solution is suitable for a wide range of businesses. The company is following advice from a report released recently by Cisco.
It showed that WiFi devices are very powerful in the modern world and will possibly contribute a majority of all internet traffic by 2017. According to insiders at Comcast who understand WiFi Pro very well, it was built to enable businesses serve both guests/patrons and employees.
It provides two high-performance commercial WiFi networks, a private network for employees and a guest network for visitors and patrons. That provides additional security and leverages the latest AC chipset to support the fastest WiFi speeds and expanded range. John Guillaume, the vice president of Product Management at Comcast Business said customers will be the biggest beneficiaries of the new service.
“WiFi Pro offers simple management and features to SMBs and distributed enterprises that were previously only available to headquarters and other large office locations, enabling a better employee experience and customer engagement,” he noted. “The additional marketing features allow SMBs and enterprise branches to create a more personalized experience through WiFi to help drive customer retention and revenue growth.”
As a managed solution, the equipment and access points for WiFi Pro are installed and managed by expert technicians, allowing business owners and IT managers to focus on running their businesses. The service can be managed on a smart device via a mobile app or an online portal that give businesses advanced capabilities like on-demand activity reporting and network configuration controls to set schedules and allocate bandwidth.
Additionally, SMBs and enterprise branch offices can utilize marketing tools to help attract new customers.
