Comcast Cable Leadership Changes

In a bid to revamp its top leadership and meet current market demands, Comcast Cable has announced several promotions that affect key departments.

Those affected by the changes include Customer Experience, Consumer Services Group, Technology and Product, Enterprise and Platform Services, Enterprise Business Intelligence, Business Development, Sales and Marketing and Comcast Business departments.

Javier Garcia is the new Senior Vice President and General Manager, Multicultural Services and joined Comcast in late 2014. “Javier and his team worked closely with the product team to lead the company’s bicultural transformation initiatives, including the launch of the X1 bicultural experience, a first of its kind TV viewing experience that gives bicultural families more choices in how they consume TV and movies in the home,” a press statement said.

Piers Lingle is the Senior Vice President, Customer Experience and will lead efforts to deliver next generation customer experience options for Comcast’s customers. Ruth Dawson has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Comcast Innovation Labs, and General Manager of Comcast Silicon Valley. She has been tasked to ensure Comcast stays at the forefront of technology and product trends that are critical to their business.

Tom Loretan is the new Senior Vice President and Executive Creative Director, User Experience and Product Design. He holds several Comcast patents and was honored by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with a Creative Arts Emmy in 2014 for outstanding achievement in user experience, and visual design for Xfinity X1.

In other promotions, Todd Goodbinder is the new Senior Vice President, Comcast Business SMB Sales, Elad Nafshi is the Senior Vice President, Next Generation Access Networks, Noam Raffaelli is the Senior Vice President, IP and Communications Services, Fraser Stirling is the Senior Vice President, Hardware Development while Luci Rainey will be the Senior Vice President, Consumer Marketing. The appointments took effect immediately.
