Comcast Business will be expanding its advanced network to more than 450 local businesses in North Salt Lake, Utah.
A wide range of organizations, representing national chains and locally owned businesses, will benefit from the new high-performance network, which delivers data, voice and video to support Internet- and cloud-based operations. Lane Beattie, president and CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce was pleased with Comcast expansion to the area.
“Comcast’s expansion in our area will benefit many local businesses located north of Main Street and west of I-15, which is an important area for our local economy. Historically, this area has been the backbone of industry in North Salt Lake, dating back to the large oil refineries, and we want to continue the momentum by having access to advanced technology like Comcast.”
Local business operators are also happy with the new network plan from Comcast. Jonathan Davis at B Space Salon said; “We were really excited when we learned that Comcast Business was bringing their services to our area. Our internet WiFi speeds have increased drastically and customers love this. The new voicemail service is also an added benefit. There are many features available to me that I have not had before.”
Speaking about the expansion, Brett Parkinson, Director SMB Sales, Mountain West Region, UT/AZ/NM Areas for Comcast Business said the move was encouraged by the high number of firms seeking their services in the area. “Comcast chose to expand in this area due to the sheer number of local firms that have signed up for our service. Our investment in extending the Comcast network in North Salt Lake is part of our commitment to give more of these local businesses access to our national network so that they can compete effectively in their respective industries.”
