Do I Need Special Equipment?

You'll need a Comcast approved cable modem, and a network interface card. Most newer PCs have a wireless NIC (Network Interface Card) pre-installed, otherwise NIC cards are cheap and easy to install. The cable modem can either be leased from Comcast for a small monthly fee, or purchased by the consumer. Here is a list of Comcast approved cable modems. Top of the line DOCSIS 3.0 cable modems are priced under $90. If you have a home network you can easily connect your Cable modem to a wireless router and enable Wi-Fi broadband Internet access for your entire home network.

Can I Get a Comcast Cable Bundle Deal?

Comcast offers a discounted Comcast bundle package when you combine two or more of the services they offer. You can get Comcast's Broadband Cable Internet access bundled with their digital cable television and/or digital phone services and save a "bundle". This is usually the cheapest Internet option, so always check with Comcast to see if they are offering any current cable package deals.
